Master's Student
I am a NSF Fellow in the FAR lab and a biological technician with the USGS Western Fisheries Research Center. My current research uses hydro-acoustic technology to examine the effect of artificial light at night on predation risk to juvenile salmon populations in Lake Washington, WA. My work will help inform local regulations and light mitigation efforts in the watershed to increase sustainability in the expanding cities of the Puget Sound.
I am broadly interested in predator-prey dynamics and issues at the intersection of ecology and urbanization. Prior to graduate school, I worked on a seagrass ecosystem project in Western Australia, studied tropical marine ecology for the National Park Service in St Croix, USVI and removed derelict fishing equipment and shoreline plastics with NOAA in Hawaii.
